Frequently asked questions.

  • A referral is not required, however if you have done previous imaging or reports in the area of concern, please bring them to the consult to discuss further with your practitioner.

  • Please come in comfortable clothes that is easy to for the Osteopath to assess and treat. These may include shorts, loos shirts and a bra that unclips at the back which is preferred over sports bra- you may bring these items to change into if needed.

  • Please allow up to 45 mins - 1 hr for the initial consult. Osteopaths will go thru your medical history in order to have a complete picture of your health and discuss how Osteopathy may assist. Please arrive 5-10 mins earlier to complete the necessary paperwork before we begin.

  • Any previous scans, X-rays or medical information, please bring this to the first consult. We accept cash, credit and debit cards and rebates from all major private health funds and Chronic Disease Management / Enhanced Primary Care ( EPC/CDM) plans. To gain instant rebates we require the physical card or digital card to process claims with your private health.

  • Your GP will evaluate your eligibility and will provide a referral from to a specific Osteopathic Clinic. The Chronic Disease Management program allows up to 5 rebated consults per year. If you meet the checklist below we can process your Medicare rebate on the spot.

    • Lived with chronic pain for at least 6 months and GP referral is completed.

    • Medicare Card/ Photo of your current number and expiry date

    • Full payment for your consult

    • Bank card- debit or cheque to issue the rebate as a refund.

      We are a non bulk billing clinic, out of pocket expenses are included.

  • We understand life gets busy however please provide at least 24 hours notice if you are unable to attend. Otherwise a 50% cancellation fee will apply, unless there is a valid medical reason. To get our contact details please click here.

  • We are located in the same building as the Dentist - 893A Riversdale Rd 3124. There is street parking and two disabled parking spaces next to. the clinic with ramp access. For public transport access, we are across the road from Essex Rd/ Riversdale Rd Tram stop on the 70 tram line.
